Hi everyone! Happy August! I hope you’ve all been having a fantastic summer, because I certainly have! This past month was an absolute blast, especially at the LitRPG Convention! Getting to meet so many of you in person, attend the panels, and be a part of the whole event was a genuine highlight of my year. Even better, once the convention wrapped up, I was able to get away on a short vacation up in Banff to recharge my batteries before making my way back home. Turns out it was exactly what I needed to make the most of the month that was left! So without any further delay, let’s see where this month wrapped up!

Finding Every Spare Minute
Between the convention, the vacation, and everything else that comes with a busy summer month, I’ve had to squeeze writing into every spare minute that I could find, and I’m happy to say to say that its paid off! The first draft of Requiem 2 will be essentially ‘done’ by the time that you’re reading this newsletter (or at least that’s my plan!). Once it’s finished off, I’m going to be spending the next week or two going through my self edits and rewrites, before I send it off for formal editing.
Now, because this month was so busy with everything going on, there wasn’t really any time to work done on TLS, but I am hoping to devote a solid chunk of time in August before WorldCon and Dragoncon roll around and pull me away again. I’ve a hard goal of having this book done before the end of September and I intend to meet it!
As for release timelines and other details regarding Requiem, I’m afraid I still don’t have anything concrete to share just yet. But rest assured, the moment I do, you’ll be the first to know! In the meantime, if you’d like to read the serial ahead of time, you can always follow along over on my Patreon, Royal Road, and my Website. Stay tuned for more updates as things progress!
Speaking Of WorldCon…
As I mentioned above, WorldCon is coming up fast, and I’m excited to say that I’ll be down in Anaheim for the convention this year! If you’re going to be there too, I’d love for you to come and find me. You can catch me at the following panels and events:

Starbreaker: Volume 6 Is Almost Here!
The moment is nearly upon us! August 4th is right around the corner, and that means Starbreaker: Volume 6, the last and final book of the series, is about to launch and I can’t wait to hear what you all think of it!
This is the grand finale, the conclusion to Sylvas’ story and everything that he and the others have been fighting toward across the whole series. You’ll be able to grab it on both Amazon and Audible. If you want to see how it all wraps up, I’d highly recommend grabbing your copy now so that you don’t miss it the moment it releases!

This one is still going strong, and I’m loving the responses so far! As a reminder, I’m planning a book tour throughout Canada and the USA this winter to celebrate the traditional release of Ascend Online, and I want you to help decide where I go!
If there’s a city, a bookstore, or a corner of the map that you’d love to see me visit, I want to hear about it! Every suggestion helps me figure out where to point the tour, so don’t hold back.
