Happy November & Merry Christmas Everyone!

Hi everyone! Happy November! The leaves have fallen, the Halloween candy is (mostly) gone and I hate myself for now much I’ve eaten, which can only mean one thing: Christmas is now essentially here! So, from me to all of you, I wish you a very Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a happy new—whoa, hey, put the tomatoes down! Okay, okay, I hear you, it’s a little early! (Or isn’t) But the year really is flying by, and before we know it December will be knocking at the door. So before anyone finds the reason to actually mug me, let’s dive right into this month’s update!

Well, it’s been another busy month here on my end to say the least, and it all started with finishing off the last of The Last Sovereign, which, from here on out, is now going to be known as The Hollow Sovereign! (New name, same book, don’t worry!) It’s officially off in formal editing, and I’m expecting to get the edits back likely by the time that you read this! In any case once I have them back in hand, they’ll be my very first priority to turn over!

Beyond that, it’s been a month of bouncing between projects as my interest/writer’s block/outlining power has shifted around. For the most part, that’s meant work on both The Age of Heroes and Requiem For A Blackened Heart, but over the last week or so I hit the end of my outlines for both of them and rather than switch out of ‘writing mode’ (and banging my head against the wall), I shifted gears and started some work on Here Be Dragons, which as you all have seen, finally made it onto the schedule.

And it’s going to be largely all about editing and finishing! As you might have seen in the update above, I’ve got a whole lot of books sitting right on the edge of done, so the current plan is to turn over The Hollow Sovereign and Requiem For A Forsaken Child as soon as they come back from editing so that they can go into production. Then, if I manage to finish off Requiem For A Blackened Heart, I’ll be doing my re-read and re-writes before hopefully sending that off into production too. From there, and if there’s any month left at the end of all that, my goal is to polish off The Blood Crown Book 1 with Jason and Bryan so we can also have it handed in for production before the month is over.

Then, hopefully with there being time and braincells left after/between all that, I’ll shift my focus into both The Age of Heroes and Here Be Dragons. As of right now, it is my tentative ‘hope’ to have Here Be Dragons complete, or nearly so, by the end of December, and for The Age of Heroes to be complete by the end of March or so. Of course, that’ll all depend on just how busy things end up being with all the other bits and pieces I have on my plate, and how long both of those books decide that they need to be. So wish me luck (and sanity) as I figure it out!

And that’s essentially all I’ve got for you this month! With so much on the go, I’m heading straight back to work to finish off as much as I possibly can before the year wraps up.

In the meantime, I hope you all enjoy the holiday that is this November, whether you’re diving straight into GTA 6, WoW Forever, or the Ocarina of Time Remake! (Or, let’s be honest, all three!) Stay happy and healthy, and I’ll see you all next month!

Luke
