Gavin is an unlikely warrior trying to find his place in the savagery of the arena. Sadira, a star Gladiatrix already favored by all. When happenstance brings them together, the pair set out to earn themselves a place at the Grand Championships, vying to see their names carved in the annals of history.
With survival and immortality on the line, can they hold together against the vicious realities of the fighting grounds and the machinations of the Chosen?

Sand and Steel
Gavin must find his honor. Sadira needs to watch her back. Apart they are vulnerable.
Together, they are unstoppable.
Gavin, sundered from his band, seeks to survive the trials and tribulations of a decidedly minor Gladiator. He is forgotten by most, but still draws the hate of Valaran diVolcanus, the most vicious fighter among his peers. As Gavin wades into the Free Leagues, Sadira reaches the zenith of her career, assuring her place in the Grand Championships. But jealousy and betrayal mar her ascent, and while she might be a diva on the fighting grounds, she soon discovers that she is only a pawn in the Great Games.

Book 3
Blade & Banner
As Gavin and Sadira assume their roles as Chosen, their friend Vintia joins her father’s old Legion to escort an ambitious expedition across the ocean.
However upon reaching Ithal’Duin, thought to be lost since The Reckoning, she discovers that neither the reason nor the motivation for their quest is as it appears. Nor is that all, for while the wheels of imperialism turn in its furthest reaches, so too do they turn at its heart, allowing a righteous mistake to land Sadira in trouble with her new peers, trouble that soon sends her and Gavin on a mission across the sea to find the now missing Legion—and Vintia.
