It Was A Catch All Kind Of Month!

This month was largely riding the high of June as I cleared all of the various details that happen between projects. There was some editing for Starbreaker 4, cover art prepping, admin work, and all of those other fiddly bits that keep things rolling until vanish into another project – which I am also happy to say I’m looking forward to doing this month as all I have left to do now is plan out and start on Starbreaker: Volume 5!

Which Is A Great Time For Our Usual Starbreaker Info Dump!

Right, as per usual, we’ve got a ton of Starbreaker stuff to cover for the month here, plus a bunch of updates for how things are going to shake out for the remainder of the year.

So, starting at the top, we have the release of Starbreaker: Volume 3, which hit the shelves June 24th and has been snatched up by all of you hungry readers! Thank you all for your support with the series so far and I truly hope that you all loved this latest entry! This was an incredibly fun book to write and I am so happy to hear that you’re all enjoying it!

The next fun piece of news is that I that I finally have a sense of how long the Starbreaker series will be, and that will be six books total. I am looking forward to wrapping the writing of this series before the year is over and then send it off for production to follow. But that is where we’ve got a bit of a change in our cadence from what we’ve had thus far.

Unfortunately we’ve got a bit of a schedule crunch ahead of us in terms of the audiobook production, which means that we’ll be having a quite a gap between the public releases of the novels. As the tentative schedule stands right now we’re looking at a November/December release for Volume 4, and an early 2026 release for Volumes 5 and 6 to wind down the series.

However, if you are a serial reader – and wish to support/follow me either on this website, royal road, or my Patreon – you won’t have to wait as long as we will be going back to our regular three days a week serial schedule once I have Volume 4 polished up and ready for you all. Right now I am aiming to restart the serial towards the end of July, but that is still TBD, so stay tuned!

And to wrap this section up with my obligatory plug – if you somehow haven’t started this series yet, then seriously, now is the time to do it! You’ve got the time to catch up! Check out the links below and grab the books now!

Plans Past Starbreaker

So I suppose we’re at the point where we need to start talking about what’s next and where/what/how I expect to be focusing my time on for the next while as I finish Starbreaker and also when it is fully off my plate (hopefully) this fall.

Starting at the top with my main focus – once I finish Starbreaker, my plan is to send the majority of my energy towards my new Requiem series and attempt to knock all six books out relatively quick together. Depending on how well the series does, there is a possibility for this series to be expanded beyond six, however that is really going to depend on the support and energy we get early on. So if you end up loving it, don’t wait until there are a bunch of books out – grab it right away so we know it’s worth continuing!

Moving on to my secondary projects, which will be ongoing all throughout – I will be working on a new series, currently with the placeholder title of ‘Oops, I Was Accidentally Transported To A Fantasy World And Taught Dragons About Capitalism’ and Ascend Online: The Age of Heroes. I know that the news that I am not planning on spending my full time on The Age of Heroes will be disappointing to many, but unfortunately with the drop off in the VRMMORPG LitRPG genre as a whole, the series simply is no longer earning enough for me to be able to justify the time to do so. As things stand, it’s my plan to informally wrap up the Ascend Online series with this next book, but I want to take my time to do it right and provide the best story I can. As I get more details here, I’ll certainly share them when the time comes.

Lastly, the cowriting projects:

Alex and I are so far on track to complete book 5 of the Paragon series this summer and then send it off for editing/delivery. Unfortunately with our audiobook scheduling, it is unlikely that we’ll see the book any time soon after that however. With luck, we might be able to get a 2026 release along with book 4 in the series, however there is a decent chance we might be waiting until 2027.

As for Harmon and I, we are working away on Aetherforged 2 and hope to have it wrapped sometime this summer and send it off to production ahead of book 1’s release this October. Once we have that book finished, the two of us plan to shift focus to our other series – The Eternal Realms – and knock out two books before returning to finish Aetherforged 3, and then Eternal Realms 3. Given how far out we’re looking at for these series – they will likely be 2026, 2027, or possibly 2028 releases depending on how the audiobook pieces to the projects work out.

In any case, I’m sure that there is something with the above plan that will absolutely fall apart at some point, but this is what I have right now and I have my fingers crossed extra hard to make sure it all comes together!

And We’re Wrapped!

Big update this month, I know! But I hope you all enjoyed it and can see what my/our plans are for the foreseeable future! Going forward, we’re likely to have our typical ‘grinding away’ updates for quite a while before our next batch of releases hit (though we ‘might’ still have Immortal’s Ascent Book 4 for you all later this month if a couple lingering details come through!).

Wrapping things up here – thank you all for another awesome month and I hope you all enjoy the height of summer! I truly appreciate all of your support and excitement! I hope you all stay happy and healthy until we meet again next month!

See you soon!

Hello, I just wanted to say hi and I am sorry to hear the the Ascend series isn’t doing well. I’ve really loved it since I started book 1, so I look forward to seeing it’s conclusion when you get there. Thank you for continuing to work on the series and giving it a conclusion. I may give Starbreaker a try while I wait, I really enjoyed the way you developed the Ascend series. Best of luck in all of your endeavors! And thanks again for creating fun fantasy worlds for us to visit!

Just wanted to say I’m also heartbroken to hear that the ascend online series and litRPG genre isn’t doing as well. It’s seriously become one of my favorite book series and I often return to it. I was really hoping to hear more books coming out as I see the story extending, but I understand that you have a lot of other writing projects on your plate. I’m also bummed that immortals to send isn’t going to continue as an audiobook. As much as I enjoyed reading when I was younger, I just don’t find I have the time for it and audiobooks are the only way I can enjoy stories anymore. However, it’s exciting to see you evolve as a writer and I’ll continue to follow.

I very much appreciate your kind words Shereen! I certainly feel the same way with how quickly the genres have shifted and I do want to send the series off in the best way possible. Here is to hoping that we get a bit of a shift backwards one day in the future! In the meantime, I do hope you enjoy what I have planned for this last book as well as everything else to come afterwards!
