Hey everyone! I hope that you’re all having a great start to the new month and had an especially awesome leap day! I have a hearty thank you for all of you who grabbed A Mark of Kings yesterday while it was on sale for the Daily Deal! I really hope that you all enjoy the book! (And yes, we’re working away on book 2!)
Moving past that and onto the writing end of things I am super happy to say that it’s been an amazingly awesome and productive month of February for Glory to the Brave. From my last email at the start of the February, I was sitting right at 114,000 words even and after a super busy month of
I’ve managed to grow the story up to a nice and meaty 145,630 words, adding in about 8.5~ chapters to the story. At the moment, I’m currently in the process of doing a bit of tidy-up/continuity editing after a big battle scene and debating of how/if to potentially implement a new idea that just jumped out at me the other day. Typically, I tend to stay pretty close to my original outlines as I write, but on occasion a particularly strong wave of inspiration hits and I find myself needing to adjust. I just need to see if this is the case this time around, or if I’m better off to simply keep plugging forward on my original plan.
In either case, that will be my big wrestle for the month! I am hoping that when I’m back again here at the end of March, I’ll have at least another 30,000 words behind me, and maybe even an inkling of when this book will actually be done. (Hopefully, maybe. We’ll see.)
But of course, I won’t leave you all without something to sink your teeth into before I go, so I’m going to drop another art teaser here for Starfall, which we will be doing for the next couple months. I hope that you all love it!
